Morton Homes Realty January 9, 2019
As I meet kids in their 20’s and talk to them about buying a house, they tend to say “no way, I can’t afford a house”. “Kids” let’s be honest they’re adults, but I often see them as kids and so do they. Over the next three weeks, I’m going to share what I know about buying your first home and some of the things you should consider. Okay, are you ready for this journey? Don’t be scared – you’re probably more prepared than you realize! Check this series out, knowledge is power. Even if now isn’t the time for you, educate yourself so you’re prepared when the time is right!
I’ll offer a couple of examples on potential home purchase prices and their corresponding monthly payments. Check it out to see how much your monthly rent will buy!
Very important! I’ll talk about some of the things you should look for when choosing a loan officer and the questions you should ask. Your credit score is also important. If you don’t know your score you should! Afraid it won’t be as good as it needs to be? Don’t worry, it’s probably better than you think and there are things you can do to improve your score.
You might be surprised what you could afford on your own! I will also offer some creative ideas to make buying a house or townhome more appealing.
